New Member Class
A new member class is given by Pastor Mark periodically as new members join. He covers topics such as baptism, the history and beliefs of the Disciples, ways you can deepen your faith and get more involved in your church. You are encouraged to talk to him outside formal class time if you have questions or need help.
Baptism
We practice baptism by immersion, a New Testament practice recognized as the most adequate symbol of complete surrender and of the biblical ideal of death, burial, and resurrection to new life. We accept previous forms of baptism from other communions of faith.
Pastor Mark holds a class for those interested in being baptized. Baptism takes place during the worship service. Let him know if you are ready to take this important step.
Stewardship
Generosity is the cornerstone of all stewardship. We believe that everything belongs to God. Your sharing of time, talent and treasure is your way of saying thanks.
Once a year in the spring, we encourage those who are able to state for planning purposes the amount that they intend to give monthly throughout the year to the church. It is extremely helpful to allow the church to meet its obligations and plan needed maintenance and such. You are by no means held to the amount you pledge if your circumstances change.
