This Sunday in Thinking Theologically, we’ll dive into a rich reflection on Paul’s call to live “from flesh to Spirit” as explored in the Yale Bible Study on 1 Corinthians. In this passage, Paul wrestles with what it means to follow Christ faithfully in community—especially when deeply held convictions might unintentionally harm others’ spiritual journey.

We’ll explore questions like:

• How does Paul balance the freedom of faith with the responsibility we have toward one another?

• What does it mean to move beyond “fleshly” living toward life shaped by the Spirit?

• In our own communities, how might our choices build up—or break down—our neighbors?
